Nowadays it is challenging to get away from celebs, sports persons or just the average Joe talking about political issues or religion. Social media such as Twitter has really put a cramp on “just having fun” discussions.

Finding anything to chat about that is not heated is a challenge.

A little background:

I am grateful to be in the Guinness Book for having the Largest Pooh and Friends Memorabilia collection in the world since 2008.

Since then, I have held the Guinness World Record title and have smashed my own record several times. My first record was set with having collected 3,891 items and today the record has amassed in excess of 27,000. Who knew there were so many items.

I very much love collecting Winnie-the-Pooh “items”. Many Howey in the Hills people consider plush, figurines or books when they imagine the memorabilia. The collection, however, takes into account so much more: cups, rings, sunglasses, bathroom items, holiday décor, toys, music – the list goes on and on …

The part of the presentation that I believe interests invitees most is the fact at my husband, Gary, and I have had so many wonderful “experiences” while collecting that has taken us across the country and across the world.

In my book, How It All Began, I give readers an opportunity to discover how collecting items has become collecting experiences while meeting amazing people. I would relish meeting your amazing invitees in Howey in the Hills.
